Dogs In Duplexes and Multi-Family Properties

Duplexes and multi-family properties are unique as they involve shared living space.  While one tenant may believe everybody should love their 100 lb dog (because the dog loves everybody) the issues associated with a pet this size in close proximity to other renters may cause problems.

Through the years WILMOTH has learned that we need to provide guidance to potential tenants (and existing tenants) regarding what limits we will place on dogs in duplex and larger properties.  Generally, dogs of larger than 20 lbs. in a duplex or larger unit will not be approved unless there is a fence containing each property. One dog of less than 20 lbs will be considered once completing the pet screening process.
